1) what does yoga incorporate?
2)How it works the body - (muscular fitness, cardiovascular, ect.)
and those are the only two questions i need help with. if you can find a website that answers my questions then please put up a link so that i can print the page. Thank you!
I know it improves posture and it makes you stand up straighter, but I heard it actually can stretch your spine more to the proper height it could be, up to almost an inch! Is this true? I model and I’m like 5′6 if I could hit 5′7 that would be awesome!
I’ve realized that one of the more challenging parts of yoga isn’t so much the stretching… its stopping my mind from wandering… any help?
I realize I kept saying yoga when I meant to say meditation.
I’ve started adding power yoga into my fitness routine, I really enjoy yoga more than weight lifting. Is it enough to get the benefits of building muscles and bones similar to weight lifting if I do consistently and multiple times per week? Or do I need to add that in with a weight lifting and cardio routine?
So i want to start doing yoga just at home not in a class or anything and I.m mostly doing it to become more flexible (I’m training for goal in field hockey) so i was wondering some poses etc. thanks
how does yoga help in reducing weight. Which is a better exercise?
‘Dances w/ Buddha’ - to clarify, I meant yoga with it’s original roots in religion. Anything we do today can have some ‘background’ in religion. But that doesn’t mean that it would have it’s roots, or its beginning there. I am looking for a type of yoga that doesn’t have it’s roots, or it’s beginning, from religion. In other words, a type of yoga that did not START as a type of religious practice.
I can’t do Pilates exercises since they hurt my back. Those are much too strenuous. I don’t have any problem with doing aerobics. I was wondering if Yoga would help? I have had back surgery due to a herniated disk and I was considering buying a beginner yoga video but don’t know if I should bother. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.
I was just wondering if Yoga would stretch out my body and make me taller. because if swimming can. why cant yoga? Please help!
